The development of the upcoming Zombie Survival MMO The Day Before has been relatively effortless for several months. Today, the studio Fntastic behind the game introduced some new features that help fans become familiar with some of the MMO-like features.
MYTONA game publisher CBO Diana Weng and the founders of Fntastic, Aisen, and Ed Gotovtsev have appeared on the camera to showcase some of the key elements of the "day before" highlighted in the image. The main topic of the conversation was about common areas of the city where players can meet, share supplies, and generally relax. This kind of safe zone is common to MMOs and looks like a good rest from the tense survival environment that the day before throws at the player. Inside the trailer, you can also see the intricately decorated interior of the multi-storey mall. This is just one of many environments that fans are promised to explore in the game. In addition, the game includes options for customizing weapons and building bases for players who don't want to be cramped in a city center fortress.
The trailer specifically mentions the PS5 and Xbox Series X and S as the platforms that the day before will come. So far, Fntastic has expressed a desire to publish the game on consoles, but hasn't confirmed if it will cause any problems. However, the trailer makes it clear that it only reaches the console of the last generation, not the title between generations. This seems logical given the amount of detail and graphic fidelity that game fans will see, as the day before looks very demanding on the hardware.
Another big revelation of the trailer is the last release date of the previous day. The title will be released on June 21, 2022, but the announcement has an edge. At that point it will only be released on PC and console counterparts will be released later. There's been a lot of speculation about the console version of The Day Before, so the news of the version coming is definitely exciting, but so far, console players have been mostly exposed to the dark.
Fans may need to pay attention to their pre- and post-launch life plans for MMOs, as the ongoing pandemic has made it difficult to set release dates lately. Based on the images shown so far, the day before looks like it's already in a good place. This can give the hope that the project will stay on the first release date.
